The train departs Bryson City, just a few miles from the Hemlock Inn on November 5-December 31, 2010 .

Our special 2010 Polar Express Package starts at $283.49 for overnight accommodations for two adults and two children, and includes breakfast, standard tickets on the Polar Express for a family of four, and tax. Add dinner for the family at Hemlock Inn, and the package starts at $315.81. Upgrades to suites, cottages and for First Class train car and Premium rides (Saturdays) available. Premium rates apply for every Saturday, Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas week.

The Polar Express tells the story of a young boy on Christmas Eve who is hoping for belief in the true spirit of Christmas. After falling asleep, a magical train called the Polar Express train pulls up in front of his house and he is invited to journey to the North Pole. After reaching the North Pole, the boy is handpicked by Santa Claus to receive the first present of Christmas. He chooses a bright silver bell from Santa's sleigh which makes a beautiful sound. As the years go by, people around him notice that they can no longer hear the beautiful sound, even his parents and sister. But there are those who still can, those who still truly believe.
